Using iPad Wifi + 3G in Singapore

iPad 3G does work in Singapore. However it will involves trimming your existing SIM to fit into the microSIM slot. Here's the photos of my work and the connection to SingTel. Do take note that you will have to manually configure the APN to connect to SingTel data network.
